1. Prevent Unauthorized Transactions in Your Trading Account

Update your mobile number and email ID with your stock broker to receive transaction details directly from the Exchange on your mobile/email at the end of the day.

2. Prevent Unauthorized Transactions in Your Demat Account

Update your mobile number with your Depository Participant (DP). Receive alerts on your registered mobile number directly from the Depository (NSDL/CDSL) on the same day for all debits and other important transactions in your demat account.

3. Filing Complaints on SEBI SCORES (Easy & Quick)

  • How to register: Register on the SCORES portal.
  • Mandatory details required for filing a complaint: Name, PAN, Address, Mobile Number, and Email ID.
  • Benefits: Effective communication and speedy redressal of grievances.

Important Guidelines for Investors

  • Margin via Pledge: Stock brokers can accept securities as margin from clients only by way of pledge in the depository system (w.e.f. September 1, 2020).
  • OTP Authentication: Update your mobile number and email ID with your stock broker/depository participant to receive OTPs directly from the depository on your email ID and/or mobile number to create a pledge.
  • Upfront Margin Requirements: Pay a minimum 20% upfront margin of the transaction value to trade in the cash market segment.
  • Exchange Circulars: Investors may please refer to the Exchange's Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) issued vide circular references NSE/INSP/45191 dated July 31, 2020, and NSE/INSP/45534 dated August 31, 2020, as well as other guidelines issued from time to time in this regard.
  • Consolidated Account Statement: Verify your Securities, Mutual Funds, and Bonds in the Consolidated Account Statement (CAS) issued monthly by NSDL/CDSL.
