3. Filing Complaints on SEBI SCORES (Easy & Quick)

  • How to register: Register on the SCORES portal.
  • Mandatory details required for filing a complaint: Name, PAN, Address, Mobile Number, and Email ID.

Important Guidelines for Investors

  • Margin via Pledge: Stock brokers can accept securities as margin from clients only by way of pledge in the depository system (w.e.f. September 1, 2020).
  • OTP Authentication: Update your mobile number and email ID with your stock broker/depository participant to receive OTPs directly from the depository on your email ID and/or mobile number to create a pledge.
  • Upfront Margin Requirements: Pay a minimum 20% upfront margin of the transaction value to trade in the cash market segment.
  • Exchange Circulars: Investors may please refer to the Exchange's Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) issued vide circular references NSE/INSP/45191 dated July 31, 2020, and NSE/INSP/45534 dated August 31, 2020, as well as other guidelines issued from time to time in this regard.
  • Consolidated Account Statement: Verify your Securities, Mutual Funds, and Bonds in the Consolidated Account Statement (CAS) issued monthly by NSDL/CDSL.

Pricing questions

Is there a fee to open an account?

Account opening is free on the Discount plan. On Full Service it is a one-time ₹300.

What does the Discount plan cost per trade?

A flat ₹20 per executed order on equity delivery, intraday, futures and commodity futures, whatever the order size, and ₹1 per lot on equity and commodity options.

When is Full Service cheaper?

Full Service charges a percentage of turnover (0.3% on delivery, 0.03% on intraday and futures), so small orders can cost less than ₹20. Calls to the dealing desk to place an order are free.

Are GST and other taxes included?

No. Charges marked * exclude GST, and STT/CTT, exchange transaction charges, SEBI turnover fees and stamp duty are levied on both plans as per the exchanges and the government.

What is free on both plans?

Research and adding funds through UPI are free on both plans. Net banking is ₹10 per transaction.
